Hey Momma, can we have a little chat about something I've noticed in my own life and in the lives of so many young moms I mentor? That sneaky habit of picking up our phones "just for a minute" only to look up and realize half an hour has disappeared!
After raising my own children (who are now in their twenties), I've learned a thing or two about why using time intentionally is so important.
1. Discover the Joy of Prayer Walks
There's something so centering about simply stepping outside and moving your body while talking with the Lord. When my children were young, these quiet, intentional moments saved my sanity! Now I treasure them as sweet communion time.
Leave your phone behind, and notice how the birdsong and gentle breeze remind you of God's presence. The emails and messages will wait, but these moments of connection won't.
Taking regular walks not only benefits your physical health but also provides a natural way to model mindfulness and spiritual awareness for your children. It's a simple practice with profound benefits for the whole family.
2. Rediscover the Satisfaction of Creating
Oh, how I love seeing something take shape under my hands! Whether it's baking bread, crocheting (my personal favorite these days), or making a paper craft, creating something tangible brings such deep satisfaction.
What brings you joy? The young moms I know have been amazed at how much more fulfilled they feel after spending an hour crafting instead of scrolling. Your children will treasure these memories of helping you create, too.
Can I tell you a secret? When my children were small, I would often feel guilty for taking time to craft.
But since then, I've learned that when I create something, I'm reflecting God's creative nature. He is, after all, the ultimate Creator!

In all my years of walking with the Lord, I've found that nothing refreshes quite like intentional quiet. It doesn't need to be complicated. Just a comfortable chair, your Bible, and an open heart.
When my children were small, I would sometimes rise before them for these precious moments. Now I have more flexibility, but the practice remains just as vital. Even five minutes can reorient your entire day toward what truly matters.
Finding quiet in the midst of mom life is truly a battle, isn't it? But training ourselves to rest in God's presence—what a life-changing habit!
It is in those stolen moments of quiet that I have learned to hear His voice, to see life more clearly, and to find my best creativity.

One of the loveliest practices I've maintained through the years is keeping a simple gratitude journal. Looking back at these entries now that my children are grown brings tears to my eyes—seeing God's faithfulness through every season!
Why not start a small notebook where you jot down blessings and moments you're thankful for? This one habit can transform your outlook during challenging days and model hope-filled, God-centered thinking for your children.

My kids would tell you a saying they heard often while growing up is, "What are you feeding [your mind]?" Social media often plants seeds of comparison and discontent, but a good book? That's soul nourishment!
